At First Assembly of God, we have one simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus, to grow in His Word and to live in the power of the Holy Spirit. For nearly 40 years, Pastors Phil and Rachel, along with their staff and congregation, have shared their faith and lived exemplary lives. We believe that through Jesus, every problem is solvable and there is no situation that cannot be turned around.
We Believe in Family
There are three things you will quickly notice about us, the first being we believe in the family unit with everything we do involving building marriages and family relationships. We have committed teachers to work on all different age levels, on topics that will encourage overcoming living. We also have nursery and children’s activity every Service.
There Is a Fire Inside Us
We believe the only satisfying life, is one lived with Christ as the center of it. We are passionate about our faith and seek every opportunity available to share Christs’ love to those who are troubled or hurting. What the Lord has done for us, He is willing to do for every person. We embrace the Spirit-filled life and that every believer should seek to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit manifests fruit in our lives and spiritual gifts are distributed to each Believer.
We have a responsibility to tell the world
It is our responsibility to take the life changing message of Jesus Christ to our community and the world. Not only do we support and pray for our missionaries, we actively do our part in reaching the world. We have taken numerous mission trips and we also participate in community outreach at home.
During a typical service, you will hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, they prayers we offer up and a relevant Word from God, to help you grow in your faith. We always have altar time, at any point in the Service, to minister to whatever needs may be represented. You will hear testimonies and praise reports, from others, who have been wherever situation you are in, in your life.
We value our most senior members, honoring them with regular monthly activities, and for children of all ages with our FamilyFIRST Service, the first Sunday of every month, and we span all the ages and worship God in song, humor, activities and teaching the Word.
No matter what your Christian upbringing is (or is not), we hope you will join us on Sunday. Here at First Assembly of God, you will find people of all sizes, stripes and colors, and we welcome everyone--including you. Our services start at 9:00 am (Sunday School) and 10:00 am Bilingual Morning Worship Service. Come a few minutes early and join us in the Prayer Room.
