The Corrigan Food Pantry
Did you know there are people going without food each night right here in your community? Our Church has made a comittment to make a difference. We have a team of workers each month who volunteer to unload grocery trucks, bag food items, and to distribute once a month. We team up with other congregations, and civic groups to show the love of Christ in the Northern Polk County area. We need your help.
We Need You to Help us Serve Others
You can make a donation, or you could bring food items to the Church and we will make sure they are utilized to help others. We unload groceries the second Wednesday of each month, and distribute food the second Saturday. This is a great family activity as our children need to see how to serve others. Feel free to volunteer, to see exactly how you can become part of this team.
We Are a Spirit-Filled Congregation
Here, you will find many other Believers who have received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. The Spirit's infilling is a gift the Lord, promised to every Believer. The desire of each Christian should be to receive all that He promised. Although we receive a measure of the Spirt at salvation, the fulness comes afterwards when you are completely yielded to God.
Benefits of Being Filled With the Holy Spirit.
With the infilling of the Holy Spirit, each person will begin to experience power in their everyday lives. Power like Jesus promised, to help us be witnesses. We also receive power to overcome addictions, mindsets, and to bring us into living in victory in our every day lives. You will begin to produce spiritual fruit and realize that the Lord distributes spiritual gifts to each one who receives.
We Are All About Family
You will find that we are a Church with multiple generations. You will find both young and old worshipping together, side by side. Respect is modeled for the senior members in front of our children. In turn the senior members celebrate our children and youth in all their endeavors, and enjoy the energetic children actities. The younger ones teach us to worship God freely, and the older exhibit faithful living and to share their wisdom.
We Have Activities and Events For Every Age Level.
Not only do we have monthly events to feed our seniors and provide interaction and fellowship, we plan family activities for those a bit younger. The first Sunday of every month is designed, and devoted completely, to bring all ages in our FamilyFIRST Service together. A priority of every Church should be to pass the torch from one generation to the next.
Join Us In the Prayer Room
Prayer is an essential part of the community of Believers. Although we each pray daily, it is a scriptural directive to join together, standing in agreement with other Christians. In the Prayer Room, we may address the needs of the sick, stand in the gap for those troubled, and also to simply hear the heart of God.
Prayer Room Opportunities
Our Prayer Room is always available for anyone to use. You can join others before a Service, or just come and spend undisturbed time alone in the presence of God on any day of the week. You may come anytime the Church Office is open, or you can also a key or simply have someone let you in.
