Your First Visit
We are always excited to welcome new friend and we will make sure that your first visit is not your last one. You will quickly notice that we are a diverse congregation, with all different ages. So do not worry about what you will wear, for we believe we all should come to God as we are. Once you walk in the doors, you will see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. Feel free to dress up or come casual, but come comfortable and ready to worship with us.
When you walk in, one of our greeters will greet you, and introduce themselves. These helpful volunteers will help you find the nursery, Sunday school rooms, even the coffee pot. Our greeters will point you to the restrooms, or even suggest the best seats in the sanctuary. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are happy to provide helpful answers.
Our music is contemporary and will have a mix of new songs, as well as familiar older ones. During worship, you can stand or sit, the choice is yours. If we sing something you have not heard, no worry, we always post the lyrics so you can join along.
During prayer time, you may hear someone praying rather loudly, and others a mere whisper. The Spirit moves on individuals differently. The focus should never on the external, but on the deep personal work inside each person. You may feel a flutter in your heart, and excitement in your inner being, a fire, a wind. The Holy Spirit manifests Himself in many different ways, according to your personality or your personal need.
We are not ashamed that we are a Spirit-filled Church. Most of the members have been baptized in the Holy Spirit. We pray for the sick – and expect God to heal them. We believe in deliverance for those who suffer from anxiety, depression, rejection, or any obstacle that life throws your way. You will find each person on a different level of the spiritual walk with Christ. So… no matter who you are or what walk of life you may come from, we believe that Jesus is the answer, and living a Spirit-filled life is a life of victory.
Hang around after the service and join us for coffee. You will have a chance to meet our pastors, the staff, and many other vibrant people in the church. We would also love to get to know you, so you are a familiar face the next time you attend.
