Does it ever feel like you’re in an endless waiting period? Waiting on God to send you that future spouse, your dream job, the salvation of a son or daughter, the baby that God promised to you long ago, financial breakthrough? At times we might can feel over whelmed and feel like the answer is never coming.
While we may not like waiting it is true and its Biblical- “good things come to those who wait.” Lamentations 3:25 AMP, “The Lord is good to those who wait hopefully and expectantly for Him, to those who seek Him.”
Waiting is an issue of patience. Patience is a virtue. Patience and perseverance lead to positive outcomes. Waiting for the right moment or being patient through difficult times will eventually lead to good things. Waiting on God is a test of our faith, not His faithfulness or kindness. The Bible shows us so many who had to wait on God long past their own time lines. We can be encouraged by Gods Word to hold onto His promises and wait.
Waiting for answers is a fact of life- nobody gets out of it. So, the question is not will we wait but how will we wait. Just like a woman who is pregnant; it’s said that she is expecting a baby, and even though she can’t see it, she knows it’s there. She starts to plan for her baby’s arrival. She actively prepares because she knows the promise will be fulfilled -it’s just a matter of time. She is expectant, and she’ll wait as long as it takes.
Psalms 27:14, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” God is never late but always right on time. He knows what we need and when we need it. It is a process. God is so good to give us kisses from Heaven as we wait. The process can be sweet. We can gain the strength to wait by spending time with God, speaking life over our situation, reading the Word and watching who we allow to speak into our lives.
So be eager with faith. Remember God always does what he says he will do. Trust in Him, knowing, He is preparing you for the promise. Be active in waiting and don’t give up.
