Rachel Corbett
Rachel Corbett was born in Wisconsin, but, has lived most of her life in Texas. She attended, what was then Southwestern Assemblies of God College (SAGC), with a major in Missions. Her parents instilled in her a love for God, His Church, and His heart for World Missions. She has been involved in missions since her teens, working with teams in Mexico, England, and Honduras. Along with her husband Phillip, they have ministered in foreign projects in Sweden, Ireland, Northern Ireland, and Canada. She serves as Missions Director for Corrigan First Assembly.
Rachel believes firmly in Sunday School and the teaching of the Word. She is an avid reader of Scripture, so it is natural for another function in her life to be serving as Christian Education Director. You will always find her challenging teachers to impact believers of all ages. One of her life scriptures is “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.” Psalm 16:11
Not only does she enjoy reading, Rachel also enjoys cooking and a wide variety of crafts. She uses these hobbies not only in her role as Christian Education Director, but also when teaching missions. You will find her whipping up a recipe of the nation she is highlighting.
Because of her love for cooking and sharing recipes and ideas, she provides opportunities for the ladies of Corrigan First to grow in their faith and community as Women’s Ministries Director.
Rachel is married to Phillip Corbett, Pastor, and she has served faithfully with him since they were married in 1982. Together, they pioneered Corrigan First Assembly in 1985. She and Pastor Phil have four daughters, two of whom are involved in active ministry. Her real joy are her six grandchildren: Chloe, William, Wallace, Caleb, Rali and Phillip Ray.
